Frank Thomas Trestik, Jr., 95, a lifelong resident of Barrington, passed away on December 27, 2021. He was born the youngest of eight children to Frank and Josephine (Wucha) Trestik in Palatine on August 17, 1926.
Frank was an Army Veteran who served in World War II. After graduating from the University of Chicago, he became a mechanical engineer and worked at Quaker Oats in Barrington for over 30 years. Frank enjoyed flying airplanes and was a private pilot. He also loved golfing, bowling, and taking long walks in the neighborhood.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kampert and sons, Thomas, Lawrence, and Timothy.
He is survived by his children, Christine, Ted (Judy), David, Paula (Michael) Smyth, and Jenny Atterbury; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, on Monday, January 3, at 2:00PM.
