Frank Vito Jr

Frank A. Vito, Jr., 50, of Crystal Lake passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington after a 9 month battle with cancer.

Born on February 15, 1962 in Chicago, he was the son of Frank A. and Lorraine F. (nee Anderson) Vito. Frank and Kelly L. Kolbusz were united in marriage on September 21, 1996 in Crystal Lake.

A 1980 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School, he continued his education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, graduating in 1984 with a BA in Accounting. After attaining his CPA, Frank was a partner at Stampler, Vito & Co., then went to work as a controller for Food Warming Equipment in Crystal Lake. He also owned his own public accounting firm and was a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the AICPA – American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Frank enjoyed water skiing, playing volleyball and baseball, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly; his adored children, Christopher, Angela, and Abbey; his loving parents; dear brother Dennis (Karen) Vito; dear sister-in-law Karen (Geoff) Buhrow; cherished nieces and nephews, Valerie (Trey) Breeden, Anthony, Michael and Victoria Vito, and Ben, Zack, and Amanda Buhrow; great niece Madeleine Breeden; and great nephew Mitchell Breeden.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Janet Vito.

The visitation will be held from 4-9pm on Friday, March 9 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 10 at the church where the family will be receiving friends from 12pm until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
