Frank Vito, Sr., 87, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in McHenry.
He was born August 8, 1925 to Joseph and Christina Vito (nee Zipparro) in Chicago. On July 7,1945, Frank married Lorraine Anderson in Chicago
Frank was a member of the United States Navy and spent most of his employment as a carpenter. Frank was known for the meticulous care of his house and lawn, but most importantly for the extreme love and dedication to his family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Lorraine Vito (nee Anderson); son, Dennis (Karen) Vito; daughter-in-law, Kelly Vito; brothers, Joe (Lucille) Vito, and Vince (Gail) Vito; granddaughters, Valerie (Trey) Breeden, Victoria, Angela, and Abbey Vito; grandsons, Anthony (Elizabeth), Michael, and Christopher Vito; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Madeleine Breeden, and Ava Vito.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Donald Vito and Frank Vito, Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, from 12 noon until 4 p.m. with a service beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
