Frank Menendez, 32, of Crystal Lake, left us on October 13, 2023. Born in Evanston on March 18, 1991. Frankie was a bright spark that lit up any room.
Frankie loved the simple joys of life.
He'd have "boy's nights" with his son, Little Frankie, and have Fortnite battles with friends online.
He always played country music while he cleaned the house and even after 13 years, he'd still ask his fiancé to dance in the living room when he was feeling romantic.
A class clown at heart, Frankie had a golden sense of humor. He always knew how to lighten the mood and make anybody laugh.
Being a nostalgic soul, he loved collecting all things Pokémon. An interest both him and his son shared together.
Competitive gaming, be it Brawl Stars or an intense round of spades, was in his DNA.
And man, did he cook with love. Cooking was his love language and every dish he made was delicious. For him, a dish served was a heart shared.
He was a homebody at heart. Fridays and Saturdays were reserved for binge-watching reality shows, snuggled next to Nicole.
Sundays were reserved for football this was his favorite time of year. He loved watching football, putting on a hoodie, and enjoying the chilly weather.
He loved the water and even though he didn't go to the pool often, once he was swimming - he wouldn't want to leave.
He was the unofficial DJ on every car ride and at every family gathering, always getting the vibe right.
He was an incredible brother, not just to Viviana and Max, but to so many friends who proudly called him their brother.
With the love and support of his father, Frank Menendez, Sr., his mother, Victoria Lockwood and his stepfather, Cesar Molina, Frankie grew into a man who adored his family and his friends, constantly striving to give them his best.
Frankie’s vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
