The memorial visitation for Frederick Arthur Phillips, age 83, of Barrington will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 12pm until the time of the memorial service at 2pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
Born February 26, 1931 in Chicago to Michael and Kristina (nee Schmit) Phillips, Fred passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Barrington. For 45 years, Fred enjoyed his employment with American Airlines and loved flying. He was a strong man who loved his family and did a wonderful job raising his children and grandchildren alongside his wife, Rita.
Fred was a loving husband to Rita (nee Tysiak); wonderful father of 8 children; cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren; beloved great-grandfather to 13 great-grandchildren; and brother to Barbara Borchard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eva Cannon.
