Fredrick McAllister

Fredrick “Rick” McAllister, 51, of Cary, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by many friends and family on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
He was born on August 14, 1960, to Terrance and Anita McAllister in Waukegan.
Rick was helpful to anyone and everyone, never judgmental. He enjoyed NASCAR and woodworking; Rick was a handyman, who was always willing to help a friend and his mother-in-law. He will be remembered as a funny man who was generally quiet until he had something profound or witty to say.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane (nee Poyner); children, Tonya McAllister and Sarah McAllister; his mother, Anita (Lou) Geary; sister, Terrie Lee (Ken) Lloyd; brother, Rob McAllister; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Terry McAllister and Terry’s wife Audrey McAllister.
Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-5:30p.m., on Saturday, April 28 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014, with a funeral service held at 5:30p.m. Burial will be held privately.
