Rick was born August 12, 1942 in Chicago. He passed away peacefully August 3, 2016 at his home in Crystal Lake.
Rick retired from United Parcel Service in 2001 after 26 years with the company. He started as a driver and worked his way up to Senior Account Executive. Prior to that he spent time as a restaurant manager and owned his own milk delivery company. After he retired, Rick loved to travel the country with his wife in their motorhome and they spent their winters in Florida. At home he could often be found working in his yard or playing with his grandchildren. Rick enjoyed golf, camping and fishing with his family. He will be remembered for his wisdom, strong work ethic, playful sense of humor, love for his dogs and commitment to his family.
Beloved husband for 54 years of Gail Postal; loving dad of, Scott Postal, Tim (Lynda) Postal, Susan (TJ) Maloney, and Amy (Pete) Postal-Garite; and dear grandpa to, Candace, Cody, Tawney, Taylor, Kyle, Ava, Bristol, PJ, and Flynn. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F. Postal and Vivian Morelli.
Visitation will be 4-8pm, Sunday, August 7th at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am, Monday, August 8th at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30am until the time of the mass. Burial in Windridge Memorial Park will follow mass.
