Gary Joyce

The memorial visitation for Gary William Joyce, of Crystal Lake and formerly Tampa, FL will be held Thursday, November 13, from 3-8 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176) Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

Born June 25, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL to William E. and Patricia F. (nee Chadbourn) Joyce, Gary passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at 7:00pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the age of 60.
Gary was a proud veteran of the US Navy, stationed in Florida working as a nuclear power plant operator. He served on both the USS Forrestal and USS Yosemite. He worked for multiple architectural engineering companies such as EMC2, GKC, and Perkins and Will, all based out of Chicago. Gary always enjoyed working with computers, building computer networks and especially spoiling his children.

Gary was a loving husband of 29 years to Susan (nee Lynch); devoted father to Raeann Smith-Delinger, Jessica Louise Joyce, and Kelly Anne Joyce; new grandfather to Dominic Anthony Manning; beloved brother of Judy Joyce-Wilson; and cherished son of Patricia F. Joyce.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, William E. Joyce; brother, Jeffery P. Joyce; and infant son, Michael William Joyce.
