Gary Pribyl, 68, of Crystal Lake, IL, entered new life on May 20, 2021 surrounded by family.
Gary was born September 26, 1952 in Chicago, IL, to the late John and Sara Pribyl. He grew up in McHenry, IL and graduated from McHenry High School in 1970.
Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cathy (nee Hoffmann); his four children, Rachel (Peter) Lehner, Ryan (Chelsea) Pribyl, Rebekah (Rece) TenHaken, Reneé (Tony) Giardino; his seven grandchildren, Luke, Brian, Sarah, Lucy, Paul, Bennett, and Mila; and his sister, Jacqueline (Bill) Sherman; and many other family and friends whom he loved dearly.
Before Gary retired from a career in die cast engineering, he owned and operated a carpet installation business.
He will be remembered for his passion to share his faith in his Savior, Jesus, particularly his ministry at Lake Geneva Youth Camp and McHenry County Jail, as well as teaching the Bible in Sunday School and Men’s Groups.
Gary loved his family, being on the water, cooking for a house full of people, had a vast knowledge of cars, and was interested in many kinds of music.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Harvest Bible Chapel - Crystal Lake, 580 Tracy Trail, Crystal Lake, IL. Interment will be held for family at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
