Gary P. Walker

Gary Walker, 85, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born on November 16, 1939 in Elgin, IL to the late Edmund and Sally Walker. 

Gary grew up in Vincennes, IN, and attended Central Catholic High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business from Butler University and dedicated over 40 years to a career in the retail industry. In June of 1962, Gary married his high school sweetheart, Sue (Davis), at the Old Cathedral Church in Vincennes.

Gary was a member of St. Anne’s Church of Barrington. He enjoyed playing golf and was a model train enthusiast. He was an avid reader and a frequent patron of the Barrington Area Library. Gary enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Sue; his children, Beth Walker, Kelly (Andrew) Conneen, and Brian (Betty) Walker; and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Ted, and Peter Conneen, and Annette and Edmund Walker.

A private family service will be held at St. Anne’s Church.
