Genevieve Benson Latter, of Kildeer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and caregivers on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 92.
She was born November 1, 1924 in Chicago, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (nee Barrett) Benson.
Genevieve’s greatest passions included dancing and music, but most of all, she was fiercely dedicated to her family.
In addition to her beloved husband of 68 years, John “Jack” Latter, she is survived by her cherished sons, Jack Latter and Paul (Teri) Latter; her adored grandsons, Philip (Macy), Scott (Tiffany), Mark and David; her precious great-grandchildren, Aspen, Willow, Charles, and Benjamin; and her various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David; grandson, Michael; and siblings, Anna Margaret, Larry, and Benny.
Friends may visit with Genevieve’s family on Saturday, January 7 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 135 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
