George J. Bernat passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 27, 2017 at his home in Huntley. He was formerly a resident of Barrington Hills for 40 years.
George was born July 3, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Joseph and Mary Bernat.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe. George is survived by his son, Gerry (Pamela) Bernat; his grandchildren Kenny (Heather) of Alongquin, Allison of Palatine, Natalie of Pasadena, CA; his brother John Bernat of Ormond Beach, FL; and his friends at Key West By The Sea in Key West, FL.
Memorial visitation will be 11:30am – 2:30pm, Saturday, May 20 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington. Interment will be private.
