Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m., with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass, Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Ela and Franklin Streets), Barrington

Mass of Christian Burial for George H. Craine,79, of Barrington, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 24, at St. Anne Church, corner of Ela and Franklin Streets, Barrington, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Father Robert J. Roll will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 4-8 p.m. at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington.

Born March 21, 1932 in Evanston, he passed away June 18, 2011 in Lone Tree, Colorado. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Survivors include his wife, Robyn, nee Leichliter; children Michael Craine of Denver, Colo., Mary Caren (Gregory) Murawski of Grayslake, Mary Catherine (Robert) Daly of Wilmette and John Craine of Denver; grandchildren Megan, Dylan and Brendan Craine, Mary Alise and Mary Alaine Murawski, and Marc and Mary Clare Daly; and mother Margaret (nee Petersen) Craine.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Carol (nee Shantz); son Marc Craine; father George H. Craine, Sr.; and daughter-in-law Dale (nee Hartigan).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to St. Bride’s Church, 7811 S. Coles Avenue, Chicago, IL 60649.
