George E. Krabbe

George E. Krabbe, 90, of East Dundee passed away May 17, 2017. He was born in Barrington on August 3, 1926 to Edward and Freda (nee Meier) Krabbe; the oldest of eight children.
George graduated from Barrington High School. He was drafted into the Army in 1946 serving in Germany. On September 24, 1949 he married Mary E. Rieke.
George enjoyed working in his wood shop and making beautiful rugs on a loom. He had a green thumb and loved keeping up his gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Brad Krabbe and Holly Lynn (fiancé, Danny Davis); grandchildren, Jacob Martin, Alec Krabbe, Genevieve (Anthony) Prochaska, and Geoffrey Cagle; siblings, Delores (Herbert) Plote and Richard (Dorothy) Krabbe; sisters-in-law, Elaine Krabbe and Lorraine Krabbe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
