George Metz

George P. Metz, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the age of 85.
Born January 22, 1931 in Bridgman, Michigan, he was the son of Gustav and Helen (nee Woyan) Metz.
In addition to his loving wife of 64 years, Myrna, he is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Keith) and Carolynn (Dale); and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly remembered for the love he had given and the love he had received.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gustav; and two sisters, Frieda and Lillian.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 932 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
