George Poulos, 89, of Huntley, formerly of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Valley Hi Nursing in Woodstock.
George was born January 22, 1923 in Chicago to the late Gust and Anna (nee Starbowski) Poulos.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II with the 63rd Bomber Squad in the North Pacific Campaign and received numerous medals and ribbons for his service.
A Liquor Displayman for ABC Display Company in Chicago for 45 years, George, upon his retirement, had a dealer booth at Upstairs Downstairs Shoppe in Hampshire. George was innovative and very creative.
Survivors include his daughter Amy (Larry) Keller and their children, Kevin and Matthew; his daughter Jorge Ann Slater and her children, Ryan, David, and Paige; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Lucky” Poulos; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Jim Poulos.
