Georgette Elaine (Ross) Strobel

Georgette Elaine (nee Ross) Strobel, born September 6, 1979 in Elgin, Illinois, passed away on September 3, 2019 at the age of 39 in Park Ridge Illinois.

Georgette, known to her friends and family as “Laney”,  is survived by her two children, Aven Michael Strobel and Mya Jade Strobel; her sister, Susan Jean Zaleski; mother, Peggy Elaine Ross; step-mother, Martha Ross; grandfather, Jack Edward Woods; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Laney was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Elaine (Scofield) Woods; and father, George Edward Ross.

Those who knew Laney would tell stories of the cats and other animals she routinely rescued and brought home.  She loved life, God, family, animals and friends. Laney worked as an animal technician and bartender. She will missed by all whose lives she touched.

A memorial visitation for Laney will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 East Terra Cotta Avenue (route 176), Crystal Lake, IL, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
