Gerald Biestek

Gerald W. Biestek, 76, formerly of Barrington, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was born September 24, 1938 to Andrew and Valerie (nee Nowkowske) Biestek in Chicago.

In his youth, Gerald loved boating and raced sailboats. He was a true Chicago sports fan, a season ticket holder to the Bears and enjoyed watching the Blackhawks and Cubs. Above all, Papa, was his grandson, Justin’s, biggest fan. You could always find him on the sidelines of his soccer, football, baseball, and basketball games. He was very involved with Justin’s day-to-day life; he babysat, helped with homework, took him on trips to the sporting goods store, went fishing together, and just loved being with him.
Gerald is survived by his sons, Joseph (Kim) Biestek and Andrew Biestek, and his grandson, Justin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington.
