Geraldine Mullin

Geraldine “Jeri” Mullin (nee Kavolis), 77, of Barrington, formerly of LaGrange Park, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2016. She was born June 29, 1938 in Chicago the only daughter of John and Helen Kavolis.

Jeri graduated from Bradley University, earning her K-12 Teaching Degree. She began her teaching career at Forest Road Primary School in La Grange Park, IL where she taught for 7 years. Jeri was also member of the St. Anne School teaching staff in Barrington, where she was a 4th grade teacher for four years and 3rd grade teacher for eight years. After her retirement from St. Anne’s Jeri and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively with their friends to many cities throughout Europe and the USA.

Jeri is survived by her husband of 54 years, William James Mullin, whom she married in June of 1961; son, William John (Susan) Mullin; and dear cousin, Peggy McKinley (nee Zilvitis). She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 5 from 2-6 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.), Barrington with a second visitation at the church starting at 9:30a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
