Gerald "Jerry" Briick

Gerald “Jerry” Briick passed away peacefully January 13, 2023.  He was born June 4, 1937 in Joliet, the son of Margaret (Dockendorf) and Eugene Briick.

Jerry was the beloved husband of 59 years to Terry (Fischer) and together they created a family filled with love and togetherness.  Jerry’s greatest source of pride was his family.  He is survived by his wife, Terry; daughters, Patricia (David) Chamerski, and Robin (Michael) Fletcher; and sons, Jason and Andrew (Kathleen Boksa) Briick.  He was an immensely proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Megan, Wayne, Courtney, Lily, Samantha, Dustin, Steven, Ashley, Alex, Paige, Joshua, Annel, Ethan, Devin, Riley, Drew, Olivia, Alaina, Tori, Kaela, Sarah, and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Jack and Finley.  Jerry is also survived by his brother Leon (Kathleen) Briick; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Jane Allard, Lois Woock, Joan Klocke, and Richard Briick; and his parents.

Jerry was a man of great integrity and courage, treating others with respect and dignity, and always with a helping hand.  He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jerry’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org ; or to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org .

Visitation will be 5-9p, Friday January 20 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.  The funeral mass will be at 1pm Saturday January 21 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) Crystal Lake.
