Born August 8, 1933 in Rochester, NY, he passed away October 4, 2016 in Barrington.
Jerry is survived by his wife Arlene (nee Costigan); children, Daniel Schoenherr, David (Eileen) Schoenherr, Donna (Otto Dichtl) Schoenherr, Douglas (Kitty) Schoenherr, and Diane (Dana) Schmidt; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and his parents Edward and Dorothy Schoenherr.
Jerry was a 1955 graduate with distinction of the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from the University of Rochester. He was Air Force ROTC at Notre Dame and also served in the Reserves until 1970 when he was honorably discharged as a Captain. He had a 37-year career at Eastman Kodak Company working as a Chemical Engineer. At Kodak he ultimately became responsible for the quality control of color film on a worldwide basis. After his retirement, Jerry and Arlene spent 15 years in Loveland, Colorado. Jerry was also a nature lover and an award winning photographer.
Memorial visitation will be 9am until the time of the mass at 10am Monday, October 10, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) Barrington. Inurnment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
