WOODSTOCK—Glen David Ariel, 60, of Woodstock, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, while in a physical rehab facility.
He was born January 2, 1953, in Chicago to the late Richard and Rose (nee Fitzgibbons) Ariel.
Glen enjoyed fishing, watching the Chicago Cubs, and working on jig-saw puzzles with Rose, his companion. He was proud of becoming an ordained minister and known for being a jokester who always had a humorous attitude.
Survivors include his companion, Rose Sparling of Woodstock; sons, Scott (Cathie Doyle) of Crystal Lake and Kyle (Sarah Kauterman) of Aspen, CO; siblings, Rose, John, and Ernest “Ernie” Ariel.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by siblings, Phyllis Graham and Richard (Richie) Ariel.
The funeral service will be private.
