Glenn Alan La Bello, 64, of Crystal Lake passed away unexpectedly at home on August 25, 2021. He was born in Oak Park, IL to the late Robert and Mildred La Bello.
Glenn adored spending time with those he loved most. He also enjoyed many hobbies such as: camping, hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, and doing research about his family lineage and about the Korean War, of which his father was a Marine veteran.
Glenn took pride in his hard work as a member of the Local 150 Operating Engineers and appreciated spending time closer to God at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Knights of Columbus 3880. He poured his heart into many hours of volunteer work for those in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Glenn will be deeply missed by his loving children, Lonni (Zach Korzuchowski) La Bello, Leo (Ashley) La Bello, and Alyssa (Richard Gorr) La Bello; grandchildren, Amelia Ann Gorr and Forrest Jameson Gorr; his siblings, Yvonne (Bill) Chamberlain, Robert (Beth) La Bello Jr., Martin La Bello, and Laura (Rick) Lyons; as well as many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loyal dogs, Dozer and Colt, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Rose Ribnicek; paternal grandparents, Leo and Elizabeth La Bello; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 3 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Mass of Catholic Burial will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Dr, Rochelle, IL. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus 3880 of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
