Gloria Goodmonson

Gloria Goodmonson, 92, a longtime resident of Palatine, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1923 in Baltimore, MD to Elmer and Helen (nee Marshall) Grummon. Gloria married Goodmon “Bud” Goodmonson on November 3, 1946.
Gloria was proud of being a founding member of Countryside Center for People with Disabilities in Palatine.

Gloria will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Gail (William) Douglas of Palatine; grandchildren, Daniel and Shannon Douglas of Palatine; and countless nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Bud in 2014; son, Gregory, in 2005; her parents; and her sisters, Gladys Whitt and Grace McElroy.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, November 14, from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial service at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 401 E Main St, Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will be private in St. Paul Cemetery, Barrington.
