Gloria "Ginger" Joan (nee Bellizzi) Maniscalco, 95, of Lake Barrington, where she lived for the past 2 years, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2018. She was born on May 11, 1922 in Chicago to Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Izzo) Bellizzi.
Gloria enjoyed reading, gardening, and crafting, as well as social events with family and friends. Bringing up four sons, as well as working in sales and other customer-focused positions, Gloria was continually demonstrating her passion for developing herself and others.
Gloria will be deeply missed by her loving sons, George Jack and wife Bonnie of Barrington, IL, William Joseph and wife Emma of St. Marys, GA, James King and wife Joan of Glendale Heights, IL, and John Glenn of Chicago. She also leaves behind granddaughter Jennifer (Scott), grandson Brian (Jena), grandson Frank (Dana), granddaughter Gina (Adam), grandson Michael, and eight great grandchildren. She will be remembered fondly by her sister Betty (nee Bellizzi) Quercia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Married on December 13, 1943 to George Jack Maniscalco they resided for many years in Franklin Park, IL followed by their retirement in Burlington, WI. Her husband; infant granddaughter, Hannah Maniscalco; as well as her seven brothers preceded Gloria in death.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, April 14 at 10 am followed by the Celebration of Life at 11 am at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
