Gloria Morton

Gloria Morton (nee Patka),69, of Barrington, Illinois, entered into eternal life, August 6,2011, in Lake Barrington.

She was born on May 11,1942, to Joseph and Martha Patka, in Chicago.

Gloria touched countless lives through teaching for over 30 years, most of which was at St. Anne’s Catholic School. She was passionate about spending every available moment she could with her grandkids, and enjoyed nature, music, singing and dancing. Friends and family were always the focal point of her life. She gave us a deep appreciation of nature and the arts, and through this appreciation she will forever remain with us.

Gloria is survived by her loving sons, Scott (Maura) Morton, Keith (Nicole) Morton and Mark (Angi) Morton; cherished grandchildren, Ally, Kelly, Erin, Jackson, Maddie, Jake, Ellie and Collin Morton; sister, Dianne (Norb) Dybas; father-in-law, Don (Pat) Morton, many loving nieces and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Gary; brother, George and her parents.

Visitation will be from 3-9pm, Friday, August 12,2011, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 W. Main Street, Barrington, Illinois. Mass of Christian burial will be held,at 11am, Saturday, August 13,2011, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Barrington.

Interment will be Private
