Gloria A. Novak
May 29, 1930 — June 22, 2017
Gloria Novak, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Mount Prospect, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the age of 87.
She was born May 29, 1930 in Chicago to the late Edward and Helen (nee Michalak) Nicewick.
Gloria was a graduate of Harrison High School in Chicago where she met her future husband, Robert Novak. They were married in 1951. Together they raised three children in Mt. Prospect. Additionally, Gloria was employed with Xertrex International for many years as a Production Manager.
Gloria is survived by her children, Robert John (Anna Marie) Novak, Jr., Richard (Janice) Novak, and Sharon (Roger) Weise; her grandchildren, Nicole Marie Novak and Natalie Ann Novak; sister-in-law, Joan Nicewick; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Novak, Sr.; and brother, Edward Nicewick.
Friends are welcome to visit with Gloria’s family on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Visiting will continue the following day, Monday, June 26, from 9:30 a.m. until prayers at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice.
