Gloria Sinila

Gloria Muriel Sinila (nee Lindquist), 87, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013, in Barrington.

She was born February 2, 1926, in Chicago.

Gloria was a 50-year resident of Barrington, who, along with late husband Alexander and their young family, purchased her beloved home on Beverly Road in 1962 where she lived the rest of her life. She worked with her late husband, Alexander, in the family business. Prior to her marriage she entertained troops in Panama during WWII.

Her family was her life’s purpose and as time permitted she discovered and enjoyed golf as a second passion for many years.

Gloria was a devoted mother and grandmother, who is survived by her children, Alex Sinila of Lake Zurich, Leslie (Bill) Puget of La Quinta, CA, and Lauren Tripp of Barrington; grandchildren, Reese Tripp of Tampa, FL and Ross Tripp of Ocala, FL; and brother, Fred (Myrt) Lindquist of Melrose Park.

In addition to her husband, Alexander, Gloria was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Sinila.

A memorial service will be private.
