Gregory Kerkera

Greg “Gregory B” Kerkera, 60, of Crystal Lake was born August 17, 1954 in Hopewell, VA, Greg lost his 10-year long battle with prostate cancer on Friday, April 3, 2015 with his loving family by his side.

Gregory B was a longtime local musician. His passion for playing and love of trop rock music entertained us all from backyard parties to local restaurants to the Lakeside Festival. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.

Greg is survived by his wife Jeanne; children, Kristopher Kerkera, Carolyn Rechel, Michael Rechel, and Kyle Rechel; grandchildren, Oliver and Dylan Kerkera; brother, Derek (Terri) Kerkera, sister, Lisa (Darryl) Hightower, and his mother Fae Kerkera. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Kerkera.

Memorial visitation will be held 4pm until the service at 7:30pm, Wednesday, April 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
