Gregory Gardner Ward

Gregory Gardner Ward, 60, of Palatine passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 18, 1962 in Arlington Heights, IL to the late George and Marilyn Ward. Greg is survived by his son Ryan Ward, his sisters Donna (Robert) Porsche, Jenny (Jeff) Truskowski, his nieces and nephew, and his best friend Greg (Catherine) Wolff.

Greg grew up in Lincolnshire, IL and attended Stevenson High School where he played football and baseball.  He loved telling stories of his high school days where he made lifelong friends. Greg went on to attend Bradley University in Peoria, IL and was a proud member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.

Greg was a big Chicago sports fan and loved talking sports, especially about the Chicago Bears. He was a great debater on politics and conversationalist about any current news topic.

Greg will be dearly missed by his family, his cousins, his friends and his co-workers at Home Depot.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
