We regret to inform you of the passing away of Gurmej Singh, on December 10, 2021.Gurmej Singh originally from Village Shankar (Near Nakodar) Jalandhar, Punjab, India He was 95 years old.  He was the son of late Bhag Singh and  Beant Kaur.

Gurmej Singh leaves behind his wife, Satpal Kaur along with his son, Sukhraj Singh Takher (Jaswinder Kaur Takher, Daughter-in-law), and daughter Jasvinder Kaur Bhattal (Jaidev Singh Bhattal, Son-in-law). Major Gurcharan Singh Jhajj (fufar Ji) and their respective families.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Devjot Singh Bhattal, Gurlal Singh Bhattal, and Anoop Singh Takher.

Visitation and Cremation services for Gurmej Singh will be held on Thursday December 16, 2021 from 1pm to 3pm at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

Sehaj Path Bhog, Antim Aardas and Guru Ka Langar will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at Sikh Religious Society, 1280 Winnetka St., Palatine, IL 60067.
