Haley Johnson

Haley Johnson, 21, of Crystal Lake, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 19, 2012.

Haley was born August 5, 1990 in Woodstock. She is the daughter of Mary Knauf of Crystal Lake and Bill Johnson of Chicago. She was a graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School, class of 2009 and continued her education at Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology in Chicago and graduated February, 2012.

Haley touched the lives of everyone she met with her bright smile, sense of humor, and loving heart. She enjoyed volunteering her time walking dogs and playing with the animals at the animal shelter, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Haley was extremely creative and spent endless hours on all different types of projects. She had a unique ability to comfort and console others with their hardships in life. There was never a time when she put her needs in front of others. Haley was a true humanitarian and was loved by all.

In addition to her loving parents, Haley is survived by her four sisters and one brother, Elyse Johnson of Chicago, Anna Keck of Crystal Lake, Nicole (Martin) Boswell of Pewaukee, WI, Sarah (Joe) Rittenhouse of Crystal Lake, and Dan (Lindsay) Graff of Woodstock; maternal grandparents, Len and Betty Knauf of Crystal Lake; aunts and uncles, Mike and Laura Knauf of Crystal Lake, Judy and Jesse Garcia of Mishawaka, IN, Jim and Colleen Knauf of Sugar Grove, Bob and Carol Knauf of Austin, TX, Phil and Debbie Johnson of Wonder Lake, Bruce and Karen Johnson of Johnsburg, and Sherry Johnson of McHenry; and by her 14 cousins, 3 nieces, and 2 nephews, all of whom she loved.

Haley was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ron and Libby Johnson of Wonder Lake; and her aunt, Cindy Real of Wilmette.

Visitation will be held from 3-9 pm, Thursday, May 24 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, May 25 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
