Harold Robert Fehsenfeld, 85, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully at home surrounded with love by his family on April 11th, 2022. He was born on March 31, 1937, in Chicago to Bernard E. and Bernice (Schock) Fehsenfeld.
Harold proudly served in the United States Military and enlisted in the Army on May 14th, 1956 and was honorably discharged on May 15th 1958, where he served as a helicopter mechanic. Thereafter he then joined the Army Reserves until 1962. Harold was also an active member of AMVETS.
On November 2, 1960, Harold was united in marriage to Fay Joanne Christensen in Chicago, IL.
Harold loved fishing, hunting, watching sports, old movies, golf and hanging out with his buddies on the 19th hole!
He and Fay lived in Chicago, Wilmette, Glenview, and Crystal Lake from 1993 until their death. While in Glenview, Harold proudly served the Glenview Rural Fire Department as a volunteer for 25 years.
Harold worked in many fields until 1984 when he devoted his time with his son Joseph and helped start Midwest Printed Circuit Services, Inc., a printed circuit board manufacturer where he worked as a manager for 30 years until his retirement in 2014.
Harold is survived by his brother Roger Fehsenfeld, his children Joseph C. (Lisa) Fehsenfeld of Delavan, WI; Lisa B. (Paul) Skorzewski of Sterling, IL; Michael H. (Kathy) Fehsenfeld of Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Kristen (Ashley) Cooper, Matthew (Hannah) Fehsenfeld, Wesley (Emily) Fehsenfeld, Bradley and Elizabeth Doll, Emily (Jacob) Holder and Katelyn Fehsenfeld, Elizabeth (David) Bostic, and Clara (Nick Holmes) Meechan; great-grandchildren, Caro Elizabeth and Patton Fehsenfeld, Charlotte and Daisy Mae Fehsenfeld, Caitlin and John Bostic, Caroline and John Cooper, Eden, Valerie and Bridgette Holmes, and his many hunting and fishing buddies.
Harold was preceded in death by his dear wife Fay on January 15th 2022, his parents and his brothers; Bernard Jr. (Bud), Rodney (Darlene), and his sister Marcia (Mark) Williams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 14 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
