Harry(Skip) Eugene Fox, 82, former long-term resident of Harrison Township, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his home in Barrington, IL, from Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born on April 14, 1931 to Harry and Catherine Fox in Peekskill, New York. Harry graduated from Denby high school in 1949, and shortly afterwards, started a successful land developing company which later became Harry Fox, Inc. He is also a founding partner and lead developer of Beacon Cove Marina in Harrison Township.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Fox; children: Joanne (Charles) Rupers, James R. (Karey) Fox, Marianne E. (partner, Dale Farley) Fox, Michael T. (Louise) Fox, M.D., and David W. (Rosanna) Fox; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter, as well as his brother, Tom (Sandy) Fox and a sister, Katie (Jim) Sorenson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa May Fox; brother, Jim (Zelpha) Fox; and sister, Marilyn Fox.
Memorial visitation will be held on May 17, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 24415 Crocker Blvd, Charter Township of Clinton, MI 48036. A celebration of Harry’s life will follow service at Fernhill Golf Course, 17600 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038.
Burial services will be held privately.
