H. Cameron "Cam" Baughn

October 10, 1941 — June 3, 2020

Davenport Lake Zurich

H. Cameron “Cam” Baughn, 78, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, of Lake Zurich, passed away in peace and comfort on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Beloved husband of Patricia Ann “Pattie” for 55 and a half years; loving father of Tina Ann; and dear grandfather of Daniel Patrick Barac. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pattie; son, Kevin Andrew; his parents, Ed and Thelma Baughn; and his sister, Ruby Timmons.

Cam was a man of integrity, kindness, and did not seek the spotlight. His sense of humor and story-telling abilities put at ease those he encountered, and left a legacy for his friends and family to carry on. In his memory, please live your life in the same way. This is the best way to honor such a special man.

Cam was an avid bowler, reader, and a go-to guy for help, especially with car repairs or bowling tips. Cam loved racing cars, specifically Datsun and Nissan Z cars, and was one the founding members of the Windy City Z Club, along with his wife, Pattie.

Cam’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Arboria of Long Grove, Good Shepherd Hospital, JourneyCare Hospice and Lexington of Lake Zurich. His family also extends their appreciation to their neighbors, family and friends’ support throughout his life.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date for Cam. Please continue to check the funeral home’s website for updates. For information about making a donation in Cam’s name, please contact the funeral home.
