Helen Franzese

Helen Rose Franzese of Barrington, born August 24, 1925 in Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the age of 88.

Helen lived an example of love and faith for her children, James (Peg) Franzese, Deborah Franzese, Robert (Pat) Franzese, Nicholas Franzese, Michael Franzese, Margaret Franzese, Lori (Mike) Del Core, William (Julia) Franzese, Kenneth (Julie) Franzese, Mary (Jon) Miller, and her daughter-in-laws, Diane Franzese and Joyce Franzese. Helen’s legacy of compassion and hope extends through her 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles and Richard Hertel, her sister, Margaret Oswald, and her two sons, Donald A. Franzese and Richard J. Franzese.

Helen was a willing servant of the Lord as she chose to make every day a living testimony. She demonstrated God’s love for others by opening her home and her heart to everyone she encountered.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington, IL 60010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Monday, July 28 with a brief visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts) Barrington. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
