Helen Kalinowski passed away peacefully Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospital at the age of 85.
She was born September 9, 1928 in Chicago to Frank and Helen Warchal (nee Kosla). On June 20, 1953 Helen would marry William Kalinowski in Chicago. Helen’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and she was a wonderful Bebe. She loved going to activities and sporting events to watch them. Family was important to her and she loved spending time with all of them.
Loving wife to Bill of Lakewood; cherished mother to Kathi (Joe) Bulaga of Crystal Lake; beloved grandmother to Bill (Emily) Bulaga of Bull Valley, Bryan (Abbie) Bulaga of Green Bay, and Kim Bulaga of Crystal Lake; sister-in-law to Harriet Macro of Tampa and Carol Kalinowski of Florida; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean Dzialo and Alice Kolman; nephews, Walter Dzialo and Greg Kolman.
Visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176) Crystal Lake, IL 60014. There will be a brief visitation the following day, Wednesday, May 7 from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
