Helen Konczol

Flint, Michigan,Helen nee Kigyos Konczol, 94, of Flint, passed away June 30 2010. Helen was born May 25, 1916 in Gaines Township, MI to John and Rose nee Toth Kigyos. She was a former member of the Flint Astronomy Club and of St. Joseph?s Hungarian Catholic Parish. She enjoyed reading and movies. Helen worked as a seamstress in Flint women?s stores. She found joy in cooking, especially for family and friends. During WWII, Helen took part in the war effort working on a machine gun assembly line. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia (Leslie) Boeder, East Dundee, IL, Kathleen Konczol, Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Anne, Amy and Kathryn Boeder; great granddaughter, Georgia Ranson and one sister, Rose Marie Miller, Provo, UT. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; one sister Margaret (John) Pucillo and one brother-in-law, Clay H. Miller. A service will be held at a later date in Barrington, IL. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Helen?s name to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010
