The memorial service for Helene Pomeroy (nee Herriman),82, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 2, at Salem United Methodist Church, 115 W. Lincoln Ave., Barrington, where the family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.

There will also be a visitation from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 1, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.

Born August 3,1930, in Royal Oak, MI, she passed away peacefully Saturday, October 27,2012, surrounded by her loving family at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington.

Helene's (Lanie's) love of family and home is everlasting. She was the heart and soul of her family and she will live forever in the hearts of all those whose lives she's touched.

Survivors include her husband, Dan B.”Bud” Pomeroy, whom she married March 2,1951, in Barrington; children, Kathy (Jim) Roden of Elk Grove Village and Brad (Sue) Pomeroy of Inverness; grandchildren, Dan (Angela) and Jim (Robin) Roden, Kristen (Bill) Magner, and Justin (Theresa) and Tom Miller; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Madison, Brandon, Kaylee and Jimie Jr. Roden, and Brianna and C.J. Magner; sister, Frederica Smith Pederson; sister-in-law, Carol Herriman; and many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Helene (nee Hoffman) Herriman; brother, Pat Herriman; and brother-in-law, Keith Pederson.
