Herbert Drews

Herbert Drews, 93, of Algonquin passed away peacefully in November 2024. He was born in June 1931,in Norwood Park. Herb was married to his lovely wife, Lorraine, for 67 years. He was a beloved father (Herbert Jr, Joseph, David and Stephen), grandfather (Amy, Tony, Matt, Kali, and Nathan,) and great-grandfather( Brandi, Tyler, Samantha and Jordyn).

Herb served his country in the Korean War as a member of the Construction Battalion. After his discharge he began a career in the sheet metal trade, working in both residential and commercial settings, and culminating in his membership in the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73 for 75 years.

Herb is survived by Joseph (Linda) Drews and Stephen (Paula) Drews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held in the chapel, November 23, 10:30 am at St Anne’s Catholic Community, 120 Ela Street, Barrington, Illinois.
