Hollis George Schoepke
Born February 22, 1929 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Hollis passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015 in Barrington, Illinois at the age of 86.
Hollis received his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin and had a long and successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. He worked at Abbott Laboratories, DuPont, GD Searle and Co. and Anaquest.
Hollis loved the Cubs, playing tennis, fishing, boating, reading, spending winters at their Sanibel Island home and enjoying time with family and friends.
Hollis passed away and joined his beloved wife Jean on what would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his children, Nancy (Ronald) Curran, Bob (Beth) Schoepke; grandchildren, Erin (John) Timur, Bryan (Anjuli) Curran, Sean Curran, Brett Curran, Kevin Schoepke, Matthew Curran, and Lauren Schoepke.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Schoepke; their twin daughters, Ruth and Sally Schoepke; brother, Maurice Schoepke; sister, Patricia Schoepke and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave., Barrington, IL 60010.
