Hope Wilkens

Three day old Hope Michelle Wilkens, entered into Heaven, April 28, 2014, in Evanston. After a short, but well fought battle against overwhelming odds, our little girl, Hope Michelle Wilkens, could no longer stay with us and was reunited with God and our Lord Jesus. Around 2:30 am on April 28th 2014, shortly after we had her baptized, Hope passed away quietly nestled in her mother’s arms feeling all the love we could give her. Britini and I feel extremely blessed that we were able to meet our daughter who brought us so much joy and filled our hearts with a love we cannot find words to describe.

We are extremely grateful for the love, support, and prayers we have received from family, friends, co-workers, and customers. While we mourn our baby girl, we find solace in that love and in our Lord.

She was the daughter of Matthew and Britini Wilkens; granddaughter of Walt and Michelle Fawcett, Steve and Lou Ann Wilkens; niece to Brooke, Blake and Gerald Fawcett; Dan and Jani Wilkens, Andrew and Raina Wilkens, Laura and Caleb Fightmaster; cousin of Anika, Eli, and Harper Wilkens; great-granddaughter of Gerald and Jean Forsythe, Robert and Sallie Fawcett and Nancy and Tom Dykhuis; and great great granddaughter of Alfair Ramsey and Jo Beth Fawcett;

Preceded in death by Jay and Virginia Wilkens (great grandparents) , Ben Bajema (great grandparent)

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever.
