Howard "Howie" Stahle

Howard “Howie” George Stahle, 97, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Cicero, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021.   He was born in Chicago on October 23, 1924 to George and Rose (Borchering) Stahle.

He was a World War II Combat Veteran in the US Army.  Howie was happily married to Evelyn for 61 years until her passing in 2007.  A true people person, Howie loved mischief and jokes and especially spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his sister, Mildred Krizousky; daughter, Rosemary (Robert) Axen; grandchildren, Stacey Casey and Donald Raimondi; and great grandsons, Jacob, Shaun and Connor Casey.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.  Howie will be laid to rest next to his wife on Thursday, at 11am, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.
