Hugh A. Cherry Jr.

Hugh A. Cherry Jr., 81, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018. He was born on September 14, 1936 in Springfield, MA to Hugh Sr. and Dorothy (nee Endt) Cherry.

Hugh was the loving and devoted husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Cherry; they celebrated 54 cherished years until her passing in 2016. He will be joyfully remembered by his loving children, Todd Cherry and Leona (Angelo) Rubino; grandchildren, Amanda (Craig) Flick, Nathan, Noah, Lucas and Emma Cherry, Anthony, Mickey, and Dominic Rubino; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Aaron Flick; nieces and nephews, Brenda, Barbara, Bonnie and Brian. Many loving friends also survive.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Harold (Beverly) Lesperance and by his parents.

Memorial visitation will be, Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1 PM until the 3:30 PM celebration of life service at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
