Ileta M. (Edwards) Jensen
June 23, 1929 — May 17, 2017
Ileta was born June 23, 1929 to Glenn and Elinore Edwards and was one of twelve children. She passed away May 17, 2017 in Libertyville.
Ileta was a beautician and owned her own salon early in her career. She was an avid White Sox fan and loved the Bears when they were winning. Ileta cherished holidays with family and her special Sunday visits with her granddaughter, Anna. She had a passion and true talent for gardening, starting most of her flowers from seed. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and a good strawberry smoothie.
Ileta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill; children, Debora (David) Geist, David (Diane) Jensen, and Ken (Lori) Jensen; grandchildren, Jason and Natalie Geist, and Quinton, Katherine, Kristine, and Anna Jensen; brothers Toby, Gary, Bob, Jeff and Mart ; sisters Beverly, Wanda, Karen, and Pam.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Celi Jensen; sister, Phyllis; and brother, Neil.
Visitation will be 10am until the funeral service at 12:30pm Sunday, May 21 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) Crystal Lake. Burial in Windridge Memorial Park will be private.
