Crystal Lake, Illinois,IRENE JANE SCHNEIDER Irene Jane Schneider, 85 of Crystal Lake passed away Wednesday Feb. 2, 2011 at Bickford Assited Living and Memory Care in Crystal Lake She was born March 20 1925 to William and May (nee Yack) Kroener. Irene was a loving wife to her husband George for over 50 years, and a doting grandmother. She was a devoted Cubs fan, waiting patiently for their World Series victory. An Illinois Bell service representative for many years, she volunteered with the Illinois Bell Pioneers after her retirement. Irene loved to dance and she and George travelled North America to Round Dance and Square Dance for 50 years. She paired her love of dancing and sewing by sewing dresses for many dance friends and herself during her dancing ""career"". She is survived by her daughter Barb (Randy) Kiel of Crystal Lake, and grandsons Ben, Garrett, and Greg. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2009 and her son Tom in 2008. Services will be private.
