The Mass of Christian Burial for Irene M. Thomas (nee Cieslik),90, formerly of Cary, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 2, at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, IL 60010, where there will be visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.Burial will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.There will also be a visitation from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, September 1, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.Born August 5,1921, in Chicago, she passed away Sunday, August 28,2011, at Lexington Healthcare in Lake Zurich.Mrs. Thomas was a registered nurse, who worked primarily in the orthopedic unit at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (James) Lesniak of Barrington; and granddaughter, Stephanie Lesniak of Barrington.She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Thomas; and brother, Edward (Martha) Cieslik; and sister-in-law, Florence (Walter) Nied.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Thomas's name may be made to St. Anne Church, or Misericordia, 6300 N.
