Born April 2, 1927, Iris Kunke-Freund passed away on May 7, 2010, at home surrounded by her family. Iris was raised in Huntley then moved to Crystal Lake when she married her husband Lyle on January 31, 1948. Iris worked for Knaack Manufacturing as their bookkeeper for 30 years. After retiring from Knaack, she volunteered at the Bethesda thrift shop for 17 years. She loved golfing and bowling. She adored her family and was always willing to help them when needed. She is survived by her beloved daughters Kathy (Don) Rammien, Donna (Don) Kopsell, and Karen Conrad; loving grandchildren Brian Rammien and Janet (Chris Lucas) Rammien, Dan (Meaghan) Kopsell, Jennifer Kopsell, Julie (Mike) Conrad Scholl, and Gregory Conrad; cherished great grandchild Madelyn Kopsell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lyle Freund and her parents Arthur and Alma Kunke. In lieu of flowers, it was Iris's wish that donations are made to the charity of one's choice.
