North Barrington, Illinois,A memorial visitation for Iva Lea Mays Van Buren (nee Ainsworth), 79, formerly of Ingleside, will be held from 4 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 26238 N IL Route 59 Wauconda. Iva Lea was born December 23, 1931, in Longview, Texas, and passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington. Iva Lea received her bachelor?s degree from Barat College in Lake Forest, and was a member of the Alter Guild at the Church of the Holy Apostles, National Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of America, Huguenot Society, Dames of the Magna Carta, and past vice president general of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Iva Lea is survived by her loving daughters, Freda (Robert) Schmidt and Helen Mays; her cherished grandchildren, Rob (Julie), Jon (Julie) and Kristin Schmidt, and Kendra Rudnicki; and adored great-granddaughter, Lilianna. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sheldon in 2008; and parents, James and Cora (nee Ford) Ainsworth, and siblings, James and Arie (Margo) Ainsworth, Margaret (Dr. William) Manos, and Iris (Raymond) Garner.
