Jack Lageschulte (aka Henry John Lageschulte) passed away on Sunday morning, November 27th,2022 following a wonderful family Thanksgiving at age 86. Jack was predeceased by his mother, Alice Rockenbach Lageschulte, his father, Hank and his younger brother, Phillip. Surviving family members are his sister, Gretchen Lageschulte Cowling, his loving wife, Marilyn Lageschulte, son Kurt and daughter Krista, his step children Brent, Allison and Kevin Glendinning and their families of 12 grandchildren. Jack's favorite things in life were family, friends, home builder associations, Northwestern University and his Psi U fraternity, skiing, music, golf and his business, Old Colony Builders. Jack made Barrington his home for 86 years. Born and bred in the area, he built homes for nearly 300 residents over the years. He has been dubbed by some as "Mr. Barrington".
Jack's love for music began in 4th grade. As an oboe player, he played in The Crystal Lake Community Band and The Woodstock City Band for nearly 30 years, The Northwestern University Band and Orchestra, attended Interlochen Music Camp and received many honors for his talent. Jack was truly invested in his community, as well, by becoming President of The Barrington Chamber of Commerce, serving on the school board and became a key player in the Home Builder's Associations, both in Illinois and nationally.
Golf was also one of his early passions and he played at Barrington Hills Country Club for 57 years. He was awarded "golfer of the year" 3 times and was an all conference champion.

A celebration of life for Jack will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at The Davenport Family Funeral Home in Barrington. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM with a memorial service commencing at 4:00 o'clock. All are welcome.
